Heather (10 out of 10 ) I adore this movie. It reminded me a lot of myself. Ernest Borganine (I think that's how you spell his name) is a fantastic actor.
Grover (10 out of 10 ) I've read plenty of scripts in my life but this is definitely at the top. Great, natural dialogue. Love the characters. Marty and Clara's relationship was beautifully written. The ending came at the perfect time. (and closing the door on Angie was perfect)

Steve (10 out of 10 ) This is by far one of my favorite movies, and it was great to read the screenplay! As much as I liked the Television special starring Rod Steiger as Marty, I always enjoyed the movie, best. Just happened to see it on Verizon pay per view for free from Turner Classic Movies. Always wish there was a Marty 2 to see what happened for sure.

"Ma, sooner or later, there comes a point in a man's life when he's gotta face some facts. And one fact I gotta face is that, whatever it is that women like, I ain't got it. I chased after enough girls in my life. I-I went to enough dances. I got hurt enough. I don't wanna get hurt no more. I just called up a girl this afternoon, and I got a real brush-off, boy! I figured I was past the point of being hurt, but that hurt. Some stupid woman who I didn't even want to call up. She gave me the brush. No, Ma, I don't wanna go to Stardust Ballroom because all that ever happened to me there was girls made me feel like I was a-a-a bug. I got feelings, you know. I-I had enough pain. No thanks, Ma!"
You feel that pain that he's sharing, there could have been no other actor than Ernest to play Marty.
